Flame

In the distance, a small flame,
which warms my heart with a radiant glance through eyes that allow me to look into a soul,
A secret room that only I have been given
the only key to one lock of its kind.
Deep inside is where two hearts caress and passionately kiss
And recite a loves ballad.

A poem with no end but constant new beginnings
as our hearts find new ways of discovering each other
Like the frontiers of a universe with no end, like infinity itself.
You ceased your caress for a moment, and my heart returned to a place of reflection.
I examined a heart held by you,
It held counsel with members of a body wrapped in chains of affection,

I had willingly thrown away a key to be a slave to your wishes.
In the distance, a small flame warms your heart with a radiant glance through eyes that allow you to look into a soul,
a secret room for which only you have been given the key
to one lock of its kind.
Deep inside, two hearts caress and passionately kiss and recite a love’s ballad.

A poem with no end but constant new beginnings
As our hearts find new ways of discovering each other,
Like the frontiers of a universe with no end and like infinity itself.
Then as if to read a mind that tries to make sense of the madness of passion, you outstretched an arm and placed a finger on lips that would shout three words, but being restrained, eyes alone can communicate.

Then two hearts couldn’t wait to take counsel with members of both bodies, who all agreed with one accord to unite.
No longer a distance two small flames which now become one,
to create a fire, with radiant glances, through eyes which look into one soul,
A secret room with but one key to one lock of its kind.
For deep inside is where these hearts have caressed and passionately kissed,
and recite a loves ballad.

A poem with no end but constant new beginnings
As our hearts find new ways of discovering each other
Like the frontiers of a universe that has no end
And like infinity itself.
