My Last Day

If today, was my last day, you ask what would I do
Search my heart for God's love, that I know is true
Just work at correcting, go away with my many mistakes
Replacing, them all with goodness. Departing from all hate
My last day, may be spent singing poems from the heart
Or looking deep into my soul, Pleasing every tiny part
Polishing, my mind, knowing that it will turn out perfect
By giving away all wisdom, not wishing to hold it
My last day, shall be happiness, something to give or share
Not desiring riches, just satisfaction without a care
Thankful for God's love believing it will last forever
Knowing, since I have it all, do not need any better
Thinking back to a lifetime's wonderful works, plus dreams
On my last day, speak to my Lord, no one has ever seen
With rays of hope inside my heart, with leisure will I walk
Inviting people of the world, to hear God as I talk
Hold fast to my beliefs, at this very special time
Having all I ever searched for; Knowing it is all mine
Reacting toward God's Heaven's with all respects I pay
At last by saying, thank you Lord, with love, on my last day
