I'm sitting the darkness,
Watching all my friends fade.
The shadows crawling slowly
Take everything away.
 
You held your hand out to me
Said"Take my hand, trust me."
But when I went to reach for you, 
I found I couldn't see-

All that I love, all that's my own,
the Darkness takes and makes it's own.

Before my eyes, all that I see, 
The shadows steal away from me!

I'm waiting in the darkness,
For a light to shine once more,
Searching for an open path, 
An open widow, or  door.

I listening for your voice
To call my name again,
Reaching for a hand
To pull me from my pain!

All that I love, all that own, 
The darkness takes and makes it's own.

Before my eyes, all that I had,
The Shadows steal and turn to sand.
Standing in the darkness, 
I'm cold and all alone.
I'm waiting for light to come 
And show me the way home.

The darkness is so thick,
So dark and very strong.
The creeping shadows scare me,
As they have all along.


All that I have, all that I own,
The darkness takes and makes it's own.

Before my eyes, all that is mine,
The shadow s steal away in time.


Failing in the darkness,
I fall and cannot rise. 
The darkness stole all that I love
And left what I despised.


Tired of always trying
but to no avail,
I finally will just give up, 
My hope and heart will fail.

All that I had, all that I owned,
The Darkness took and made it's own.

Before my eyes, all that I've seen,
The Shadows stole away from me.
