Sylvia, my darling, you must go to bed.
Your bedtime story has been read and your prayers have been said.
The hour is late and morning comes too soon.
In bed with mommy and daddy there's not enough room.
Your bed is ready and your nite light is on.
Teddy is all tucked in so you won't be alone.
The clock on the wall has a smiling face
looking down on your toys all in their place.
Sweet dreams of play come with slumber.
The good times you've had are too many to number.
The star-lite sky goes from dark to light.
As you peacefully sleep knowing all is alright.
Morning comes and the sun rises high.
Off to work and school we go with a kiss and goodbye.
A new day before us our separate ways we walk.
But tonight we will come home again and talk.
