Why'd you have to blind me, Lord?
Your light burst in my face.
You brought me to my knees when
You exploded in my space.
I never thought it'd be like this.
I had my mission settled.
I'd jail those Christian scum for you!
Then with my heart you mettled.
You said to me you were God's son,
For me you gave your life.
You saved me from my every sin.
You said you were Jesus Christ.
You made me turn my life around,
To tell the Jews and others
The Messiah has come down to us.
Rejoice! We all are brothers.
Now I can't stop the light that shines
Inside me from your grace.
I can't control my preaching heart.
I can't slow down my pace.
I fear not what the future holds.
I'll endure any sacrifice.
The thorn, the torture, jails and more,
I'll gladly pay the price.
For once you have the Holy Spirit
Men's chains don't seem to matter.
You see, my heart, it laughts and sings
With faith no one can shatter.
