Echoes of broken belief

I’ve walked this winding road, with faith by my side,
Believing in friendships, though many have died.
I saw a spark in you, or maybe just a flicker,
But even the brightest flames grow dimmer and thinner.

I held you close, through whispers and doubts,
Defending your name, while silencing shouts.
But life reveals what we often can’t see,
The heart’s true colors, its silent decree.

I stood by you, through your every storm,
Defending your heart, even when it felt worn.
But life has a way of showing what’s clear,
That sometimes the deepest wounds come from those near.

I wish you strength as you march on alone,
May peace find you, though the seeds have been sown.
The road you now tread is yours to keep,
Etched with decisions, shallow and deep.

May God guide your steps, as you walk away,
For the path ahead won’t be easy to sway.
Remember, dear friend, when the world feels unkind,
It’s your heart’s choices that weigh on your mind.

So I bid you farewell, with no need for regret,
No more stories to tell, no debts to be met.
Your road is yours, as winding or straight,
But it's your own actions that carry the weight.

God’s plans are vast, unknown, and wide,
Perhaps He’s watching, though you’ve stepped aside.
But remember this, as you question the cost,
It’s what lies inside that defines what you’ve lost.

May your path be smooth, or as hard as it must, For in the end, it’s your heart you must trust.

I release you now, with no more to give,
I release you now, no ill will to impart,
For there’s nothing left in this bruised heart.

May you find what you seek, as you learn to live. In the quiet of night, when all else is still,
May you find the peace, or face what lies within, as you will.
