It Rains

Haunted droplets of silver rain
Falling from the sullen eyes
Of shattered dreams and pain
Within a man misunderstood.

Silent screams from deep within
A hopeful battered soul abused
By time reflecting life's embrace

Childish illusions of innocence past,
Born from the bosom of a deceptive world

Of fantasy behind the curtains of your eyes,
Yet horror awaits for the curtain must open,
I have awoke to another day.
