Today I went out and I played in the rain,
It was fun, it was wet, and not at all sane.
I laughed and I spun in the rain, and I danced,
I'd do it again, given the chance.

The rain was cool,
And made my clothes sticky,
But the weather was warm,
And not at all icky.

No one was nearby
To see me cavort
What a wonderful feeling,
Such a wonderful sport!

Today I went out and played till I was soaked,
I did not bring an umbrella or a raincoat.
It was fun, it was crazy, and not at all sane-
Just once, I think everyone should play in the rain.
