Today I went out and I played in the rain,
It was fun, it was wet, and not at all sane.
I laughed and I spun in the rain, and I danced,
I'd do it again, given the chance.
The rain was cool,
And made my clothes sticky,
But the weather was warm,
And not at all icky.
......
You are but one of many, who seek to see the dream,
Chasing the unknown, pressured by your own self esteem,
You are bound by nature, the rules wider than the seas,
An un-caged bird wanting to be set free,
Those stars that you can't count, and those you wish to be,
Those years that you look back, wondering "Oh, what might've been"
Brains are rotting, limbs are toast,
Every day flatlining, in a sleepy ghost.
That buzz, can't chase the stars' robust,
Turn to sunset blaze, the finest, no boast,
Glance back in a flash-
You' re just twenty, no time to lost.
How you even old, can' t outpace the bed?
Always caving in, just 'yeah' is what you said.
You' re not old at all, got pride, ain' t dead,
......
Today, I sat out in the sun
On the tea house patio,
Sipping an iced blueberry tea,
Basking in the sun's glow.
I sat and read some enthralling books,
In the wind both warm and fair
(Earlier I found a cozy book store
So I went and bought them there.)
......
I'm always flying high
Way up in the sky,
And even if you try
You can't get ahold of me.
And Im always flying free,
No more cage for me,
Didn't know it was that easy
To break the law of gravity.
