II That Man

In the digital world, we first did meet,
Conversations flowing, hearts skipping a beat.
Behind the screen, I only knew his name,
But when we finally met, nothing was the same.

Anxiously waiting, my heart a flutter,
Feeling shy, my emotions a clutter.
Sitting by the pool, our words a dance,
Trying to hide my nervous stance.

But as time passed, we grew at ease,
Talking and laughing, the nerves did seize.
The highlight of our date, a baby so sweet,
With chubby cheeks and tiny feet.

Seeing her brought a smile to my face,
My love for kids, something I can't erase.
His company, a comfort I couldn't deny,
Despite my doubts, I couldn't help but try.

Scared to love again, my mind in a whirl,
Thinking of the worst, like a frightened girl.
But as we parted ways with a soft kiss,
Butterflies fluttered, a moment of bliss.

Walking hand in hand, the night aglow,
I knew in that moment, I wanted him to know.
Though it's early, my fears are in tow,
I can't help but be hopeful, wanting to grow.

This date, a memory I'll hold dear,
Hoping to see him again, feeling sincere.
For with him, I feel a connection so strong,
A love story unfolding, a melody in song.
