Night-Time Dreamer

Through the dead of night,
Shafts pale moonlight,
Dreams awake into your sight,
Gently putting wrong to right. Dreaming of me standing there,
With no sticks or wheelchair.
Things you lost come back to play,
In your dreams at end of day. Losing all your worries there,
Dreaming of your lovers care,
Lasting love from far away,
Haunt your dreams of yesterday. Walking with your love in hand,
Over fields or through the sand,
Dreaming of the vows we said,
In the church that we wed. I ask you not to pity me,
Let my dreams and sleeping be,
Wake me not till end of night,
To me reality is a fright.
