I’m not happy with the way I look...
I don’t feel pretty in your eyes...
You tell me I need to change my ways...
You want me to wear a disguise...
I used to think I was so exotic...
Until you came into my life...
You said I was your perfect mate...
You asked me to be your wife...
But soon after we were married...
I started hearing your requests to change...
You said my face was looking old...
You offered suggestions to help me rearrange...
I started questioning my decisions...
You promised to always be my love...
You said we would be wonderful together...
A perfect fit like a hand and glove...
But now you want to change me...
To make me look like someone new...
But what about how I feel inside...
Would you want to change that, too...
Is it that you want me to change...
Or has your love simply gone astray...
I’m actually pretty happy with the way I look...
And I plan on staying exactly this way...
It might be time to look elsewhere...
To find someone else for you to change...
I’m very comfortable with the way I’m evolving...
It is you who is acting strange...
So be off, my ungrateful partner...
Take your bad attitude and hit the road...
I’ll find someone who appreciates me for who I am...
Unlike the prince who became just another toad...
