Tears

My young boy offers a prayer: God spare my tears,
Let me be a big man that I may cry no more... Oh, Lord, my God, please reverse that prayer.
Let me be that boy who can cry and wash away the Hurts
Of yesteryears that try my soul. No, I'm not a big man,
Nor a small man,
Just a simple man
In need of tears
That wipe away the pains
Of yesteryears. Dew drops give radiance to the beautiful red rose,
It's misty blush gives cleansing assurance
That the dawn of this day
Is the dawn of hope. Oh, that my face could have this cleansing assurance!
Like the Spring rain, let the tear drops
Trickle down my face that I may be a little boy again,
Happy because the hurts have washed away.
