Why do people suffer
When there is no need?
Why do people starve to death
When there is food enough to feed?
Why do people die so young
Of addictions and disease?
Why do we have to have
Such a harsh reality?
Why do people go to war
Leaving thousands of
Innocent people dead?
You wonder what is going on
Deep inside their heads
Why don't we help the ones in need?
When all they need is food, a home,
And someone to show them there is hope
Why do we take for granted
The things of which we have?
Why don't we take the time to notice
The ones who's lives have been so bad?
