This lady of grandeur who came to see all
Has passed through our lives without a bugle call
Her love for the poor man and all it entails
Has left us in silence as she had to fall.
She came from the rich and went to the poor
Unfazed by 'red tape' and never a bore
She helped so many in their hour of need
But when it was hers there was no white steed
Instead she had riders on metal machines
Who hounded her mercilessly, until she was dead.
