You must learn to control and discipline your heart

Before you can command the mind
Or be forever lost as your unrestrained thoughts run amuck
As you battle the soldiers of memories and time

Imprisoned you in a deep well of tempestuous emotions
It burdens of despair, melancholy, and sadness
Shunning the starkness of reality
Seeking a passage of safety and refuge
The strongest among those who choose to resist often find escape
The weak, however, prefer the road to madness

So, I say to you once again
As you withdraw to the corners and shadows to hide
You must learn to control and discipline your heart
Before you can command the mind

Unless of course, illusion is your path of choice
Then, being only human, you will bemoan your fate
Emotional fragility and sensibility being your only crime...
