The Fine Mind

Began to slip
Twisting and turning
Upon reality slowly losing its grip
Having no avenue to direct its massive energy
Or venue to express its million thoughts
The complex brain soon became manic and overwrought

Panic and conspiracy reigned
Anxiety became its enemy
Though a level of sanity was desperately sought
There was no tranquility to be found in sanity
For it could not be obtained by self-pity or bought

Having to protect itself from destruction
Its fate would be as all the others who came before it
It retreated into the warped recesses of time

Lost to the world as other geniuses to obsession and obscurity
Was the fine mind.
