Lost and found

Waking up naked
On the cold forest floor
Shivering, thirsting, fearing.
I have to go now,
But I am just lost.

Calling for help
My sisters, my brother
Trembling, crying, despairing.
I need to leave now,
But I am just lost.

Touching the tree’s bark
Smooth, rough, smooth,
My fingertips numb.
I should depart,
But I am just lost.

Let me lay back down
Soft velvet bedding
Caressing my skin.
I should stay,
Stay lost a bit longer.

The trees whisper to me
Names from deep underground.
Branches fondling my hair,
Leaves drying my tears,
Racine wetting my lips.

The forest my sanctuary.
Tree’s bark so smooth
This embrace so tight
Understands without asking
Protects without judging
Loves without knowing.

So let me stay lost
Just a little longer.
Lost in your eyes
Lost in your arms
Lost in your heart.

For if I am not lost
How can I ever be found?
Found me inside of you,
You inside of me.
Found light in dark
Found pleasure in pain
Found my way home.
