A time of prayer with God each day
Is absolutely vital
How easy otherwise to go astray
But don't make your prayers a "recital." Speak to the Lord as you would to a friend,
For that is what He'll always be
No better, more faithful
A friend can one have -
Remember He gave up on his life just to save
Sinners like you and like me. Give Him the thanks, the praise and the glory
That are His in His very own right.
His love for you is unending -
He'll never lose you from His sight. His arm's always there to uphold you,
To take you through trials thick and thin;
When you do something wrong,
Quietly tell Him,
He'll always be quick to forgive you
When you repent and confess your sin. So don't let a day pass
Without coming in prayer
To our Father in Heaven
Who is always there.
