Aquatic Lullaby

You fell asleep, amidst the sound of lapping waves
As they washed ashore again and again.
They seem to speak to you and say
In their own familiar gentle way.
"Now close your eyes in sweet repose;"
"I'll wash away your sorrows."
"I'll sing for you, and you'll be calm"
"There be no need for such alarm."
"So rest, and sleep. Don't fret and weep"
"Your soul for you I'll surely keep."
"Listen to my aquatic lullaby."

Amidst a nearby tree you'll see
A flock of happy birds so free.
They joined with me to make this song.
And shared the chorus of the dawn
My aquatic lullaby
