Where Art Thou?

Where art thou, O, elusive time,
That flies as we are employed?
O, mercurial mystery of life
That is something that can't be destroyed.

For what is time? A sunbeam's angle?
Or the position of stars or the moon?
We named something that doesn't exist
When an angle can determine noon.

Now I ask you , O wise Sage, Sir,
Can something be non-existent?
Can an angle of light determine
What isn't or what is extent?

The bent of your mind is shaped
By something that we call, time
But it is not really there at all
When its something that we can't find.

While you are considering this enigma
And while you are becoming deranged
Those all - important angles of light
Have suddenly all gone thru a change.
