Muteness

Silence fills the pages
When blankness seems like a sin
That tree yonder has more verbosity
With rustle and twitter in its foundation
How could you allow silence to take over
The house needs chatter down to its very roots
But slowly we fell into the trap
Afraid of eloquence, we invited muteness
Wary of goodbye we introduced deletion
The diary is a silent spectator on side table
Mocking the quietness of cautious love.
