Her Lies

In the realm of shadows, where truths are concealed,
A lie that can never be revealed.
Elly, in fear of losing, does lie,
Her heart a tangled web, her intentions a sigh.

People misjudge her, her motives they doubt,
Assuming she's here to play games, to cast about.
But the truth, it lies deeper, in the heart of her plight,
She's afraid of being treated like a child, in their sight.

Her youth, a burden, a weight she can't shed,
A fear of being left behind, her immaturity, her dread.
So she lies, to keep them close, to hold on tight,
Afraid of losing, in the darkness of the night.

Her lies, a shield, a mask she wears,
To hide her vulnerability, her fears, her tears.
For in her heart, she longs to be seen,
Not as a child, but as a woman, strong and keen.

But the truth, it whispers, in the quiet of the night,
That honesty, courage, will bring the light.
To shed her fears, to face her truth,
To grow, to learn, to find her youth.

So let us not judge, but understand,
The fears that drive her, the fears that demand.
For in each of us, lies a hidden truth,
A fear of losing, a fear of youth.

Let us embrace, let us accept,
The journey of growth, the journey of respect.
For in the end, it's not the lies that we tell,
But the truths we find, that make us whole and well.
