Transition from world to world

Despite the fact that birth in a certain world is in the best harmony with the tasks facing a being in a given incarnation, this being does not have to be chained to “its” world all its life. Both magicians and people cross the Border from time to time and find themselves in worlds other than human ones. This happens both in dreams and through Portals

The first thing you need to pay attention to is that any transition from world to world necessarily passes through the Interworld. The time spent in it depends both on the traveler’s Strength and on the degree of remoteness of the worlds between which the transition is carried out. But at the same time, it is important to keep in mind that the very concept of time is a characteristic of the world, while in the Interworld, time flows unevenly and not even in one direction

The second danger that lurks in the Interworld is the instability of the very fabric of the Edge. Accordingly, the Power can be taken away either by the Wind of the Interworld or by any of its predatory inhabitants

But even after a new world enters the realm of consciousness, the dangers do not end, and the main danger that lurks here is the danger of losing one’s form. Since the form of embodiment of a creature is part of the description of the world in which it was born, once in another world, the creature turns out to be a “drop” of one energy in an ocean of completely different energy

For humans, most often this danger does not matter much, since the Threshold Force usually pushes them back into their world before the diffusion force greatly harms them

For magicians, one must keep in mind that the time spent in another world always costs a lot in terms of power and one should be warned against getting carried away with “astral travel” without special and thorough comprehensive magical training. Only with the colossal energy of luck can a beginner travel painlessly between worlds, and even in this case, luck can always turn away from him. There is no valor in becoming someone's prey, valor lies in walking your own Path
