The focus of attention

Attention, the dynamic side of consciousness, determines and, in fact, creates the world in which the activity and self-knowledge of any creature takes place, and it is aimed at the products of description, and not at the process of description itself. Fixing on interacting blocks of energy, consciousness perceives only the final moment of the description - a kind of instant “snapshot” appears - that is, an image of the object

Consciousness is firmly and persistently accustomed to precisely this method of functioning - and as a result, a person lives in a world of objects, in a world of static forms, and the flow of which one into another either completely escapes attention or is recognized by him as insignificant, secondary

The basis of such functioning of consciousness is its ability to generalize - undoubtedly, a very valuable and useful ability, however, with its one-sided development, it easily turns into one-sided perception, which is very convenient for the parasite of consciousness - after all, wandering among forms, consciousness weanes itself from perceiving the flow of life, and therefore does not notice its own energetic vicissitudes, outflows and losses of strength

If the focus of attention is transferred from static, successive pictures - images to the flow of awareness itself, the flow of ideas - then they say that consciousness moves from focusing on being to focusing on itself - that is, it moves from the Macrocosmos to the Psychocosmos and only in such balance consciousness begins to work “in full force”, reducing energy dissipation and increasing its efficiency
