The fear of death

No matter how much we talk about the inevitability of death, about its final reality, the overwhelming majority of people are confident that “everyone will die” - except them, an example of this is games with death, extreme sports, the inner feeling that “there is still time” for You can achieve any achievements and start acting “tomorrow”

Anyone who does not clearly understand with his whole being that there is no force in the world that could guarantee that his life will last longer than the current moment will never go beyond the limited existence of the victim and all recognition of the inevitability of death out loud is also intended to drown out the inner pronouncing terrible words: “I will inevitably die”

Only then will an understanding of dying as a transition and the study of the process of disembodiment arise, terrifying details and prospects of the post-mortem state of consciousness and the dangers of its clinging to the real world will be revealed, but still the first and decisive step will remain the awareness of one’s own mortality

The fear of death does not leave a person, but this fear loses its power over him, because death is absolutely inevitable, therefore we can consider that it is a fait accompli, which means that there is an opportunity to do other things, which in its face acquire a special taste and meaning
