The element of Water

The element of Water corresponds to the passive, feminine principle of fluidity, applicability, and the downward movement of force

Water is therefore credited with a purifying power, and ablution is an obligatory component of sacred rites. Possessing the property of depth, the Element of Water is necessary for trance, as well as dreamlike and similar actions

Water is associated with feelings and intuition. It is located in the west and is associated with autumn. The descending properties of Water are used to remove unwanted manifestations into the unmanifest. Being easily used, Water gives insight and Clairvoyance, from which most magic was born - Sorcery (that is, “actions with a spell, a cup”), aimed at both predictive purposes and the manipulation of feelings and emotions

In Magick, the element of Water is activated to give depth and penetration to an object or person. The negative manifestations of Water correspond to lies and deceit. So, the Element of Water, which constitutes the flowing, changeable part of any object, constitutes its deep essence
