The duality of his self and sociality

The polarity of the world, which is a condition for its development, creating a difference in potentials and the very possibility of movement, for the consciousness that perceives and is immersed in the “embodied” reality, turns out to be not an abstract idea, but manifests itself in the form of war, an active confrontation between “materializing” and “dematerializing” forces

The most important binary opposition, which is vital for any Traveler to neutralize, is the duality of his self and sociality - the duality of “I” and “We”. Consciousness, like every factor of the universe, has existence in two aspects: firstly, in its own essence, and secondly, as a part of the Universal Whole. This binary opposition is born on the verge of a part, as a part of the whole and a part in itself

By asserting his “I” by opposing himself to the outside world, namely, striving to reveal the independence of his individual existence, a person thereby only further strengthens and deepens the consciousness of his connection with everything that lies outside his specific individual essence

This is the deepest opposition contained in the Universe: each monad is a mirror of the world; it is at the same time both a whole and a thing different from all others. The whole exists because it lives in the individual; the individual exists because it carries within itself the power of the whole, which means the Path is effective only when both aspirations are realized - when the self does not degenerate into isolation, and unification into confusion
