The path is born as a movement from actual differentiation to potential unity, and both of these states continuously flow into one another. At each moment of time, for the movement to occur, a biner must be identified, but its identification must also be accompanied by the emergence of the opportunity to neutralize it - that is, it has already been potentially realized

The most important binary, which is vital for any Traveler to neutralize, is the duality of his self and sociality - the duality of “I” and “We”. Consciousness, like every factor of the universe, has existence in two aspects: firstly, in its own essence, and secondly, as a part of the Universal Whole. This biner is born on the verge of a part, as a part of the whole and a part in itself

By asserting his “I” by opposing himself to the outside world, that is, striving to reveal the independence of his individual existence, a person thereby only further strengthens and deepens the consciousness of his connection with everything that lies outside his specific individual essence

This is the deepest opposition contained in the Universe: each monad is a mirror of the world; it is at the same time both a whole and a thing different from all others. The whole exists because it lives in the individual; the individual exists because it carries within itself the power of the whole

In the Path of the Magician, this biner is expressed in two aspirations - the desire for independence and the desire for unification. At the same time, it is important to understand that the Path is effective only when both aspirations are realized - when selfhood does not degenerate into isolation, and unification into confusion
