Consciousness is capable of reflecting, evaluating, distinguishing and realizing energies, and the properties of the “environment” corresponding to these manifestations are described as “primary elements”
The process of awareness begins with the fact that consciousness perceives the energies with which it comes into contact as something subject to objectification, that is, it “reflects” them. At this stage, the criterion of “reality” and “form” arises as a way of existence of this reality. At the same time, the desire of energies to be perceived and reflected by consciousness is expressed in their desire to form stable blocks, complexes, and this property is traditionally called the Earth Element. However, this property already carries the first danger: realizing the very principle of subject-object interaction, consciousness begins to divide the world into “I” and “not-I”, falling into separateness and repulsion of everything that is perceived as alien and external
At the next stage, consciousness evaluates the influence of perceived energies on itself. This influence can be perceived as "positive", "negative" and "neutral". In other words, consciousness, already established in its isolation, begins to perceive the world as something independent and capable of influencing the bearer of this consciousness. At the same time, this evaluative activity of consciousness is reflected in the ability of energies to “dissolve”, “carry away” consciousness, and this desire of energies to form a flow driven by consciousness is described as the Element of Water. And at this stage, consciousness falls into the following delusion: it begins to consider itself “worthy” of “pleasant interactions.” This is how isolation turns into pride
Another activity of consciousness is its ability to differentiate, to distinguish between energies according to their own properties. This distinction is expressed in the description of “color”, “taste”, “shape details”, “smell” and other properties. When interacting with energies, consciousness describes their properties in the form of separate categories corresponding to the possibilities that the conductor formed by consciousness provides for this. In the Environment this activity corresponds to the desire to be “differentiated”, “described”, “differentiated”, which is called its “Element of Fire”. At the same time, consciousness, against the background of perceiving them as “pleasant” or “useful,” becomes entangled in this diversity, clings to it, strives to hold and master it. This is how attachment to manifest existence is formed
Finally, consciousness is capable of not only perceiving new energies, it can and strives to integrate new perception into the picture that already exists in it, and for this it creates a description that characterizes both the properties of the perceived “object” itself and its place in the “picture of the world”, already existing in this consciousness. The desire of the environment for such perception corresponds to its Element of Air. At the same time, consciousness can fall into the desire to move only in the direction of those blocks that seem “pleasant” or “desirable” to it, ignoring the internal logic of its development and its internal attractions and desires. Thus, the action receives a goal, and this goal begins to “justify the means.” This is how greed, envy and jealousy arise
So, although the regularity and expediency of subject-object relations and their various manifestations is affirmed, it is also necessary to emphasize the importance of “uncontaminated” perception, perception “as such”, in which consciousness, reflecting the form, does not separate itself from it, evaluating the object, does not single out it as more or less important, differentiating an element, does not cling to it, but when entering this element into the overall picture, tries to do it as harmoniously as possible, acting for the sake of knowledge and not for possession
