A person almost never has free Power: all the Power of awareness that he has is completely focused on interacting with the world, on maintaining the picture of the world and its stability. This observation was expressed in the well-known formula: “In much knowledge there is much sorrow,” that is, the expansion of a person’s awareness is invariably accompanied by an increase in stress on him

A person does not have the strength to follow the Path of Power. If only he tries to weaken the use of Personal Power to maintain the picture of the world, this world will collapse, and with it the person’s personality will collapse, which will lead to the cessation of his incarnation. To open the path of Power, its primary acquisition must first occur. It is not without reason that in many traditions the beginning of the Path is “initiation”, “dedication” - that is, the initial transfer of Power that initiates further movement

That is why the traditional organization of teaching Magic was carried out in the form of Lines of Magical Succession, or Magical Chains, in which excess Power is transferred from one link to another, from one participant to another.

Magic chains are aimed precisely at opening up for their participants the possibility of accumulating Power, for which they give these participants impetus in the form of a Loan of Power, transmitted further along the chain, supporting the life of this chain and bringing its participants to new levels of development
