The Grigori have only an "artificial soul", the existence of which depends on the existence of a dense plane, therefore they are equally not interested in either the fall of the Earth into a klippot or in its evolution, but simply maintain a balance on earth between Light and Dark forces, and in case of a threat to the balance, these Gray ones Angels move to the opposite side of the scale to fight the forces that upset this balance

When the balance is maintained, the Grigori simply walk among people, rejected by heaven, but never fully entering the earth.
