Daimon

Next to a person there is a force perceived as external to him and performing certain protective and mentoring functions, sometimes they are considered the Souls of Ancestors, sometimes Guardian Angels, sometimes manifestations of the very soul of a person, his “higher self”, and the Image that he accepts, naturally, depends precisely on the nature of man, and that is why for some it is an Angel (he appears to those who seek divine protection and protection), for others it is this or that animal (expressing the elemental aspects of the being), for others it is and completely human (when exactly some human qualities fade into the shadows

Potentially, every person has such a Spirit (Daimon), but only an excess of Power can give birth to it into actual existence, for example K.G. Jung wrote that he also had a personal daimon named Philemon, but Jung’s relationship with his daimon was not so rosy: “Every person, if he is creative, does not belong to himself. He is not free. He is a prisoner, drawn by a demon... The demon of creativity was inexorable and merciless with me.”, Crowley considered the goetic spirit Belial to be his "special personal Daimon"

The development of the Daimon has both positive and negative sides, for example, it adds both protection and wisdom, however, there is a danger (very pronounced for the shamanic Paths) of transferring the center of activity from the Personality to the Daimon and the person turns into a being serving the spirit, at that this phenomenon was often mistaken for “selling the soul to the devil,” although the Devil has nothing to do with it

Being oppressed, enslaved, Daimon can turn into a hidden enemy, dreaming of freedom and power over a tyrant personality, so harmonious cooperation, mutual strengthening and co-journey are important
