Criterion of truth

In the Magical picture of the world, truth is relative, since the universe is described precisely as a picture in which objects are perceived exactly as consciousness is capable of, it is clear that there can be many options for “correspondence of consciousness to a thing”, and all of them are equivalent

A person in his cognition directly deals not with the objective world “in itself,” but with the world in the form in which it is sensually perceived, described and comprehended by him. That is, subjectivity is initially inherent in the human understanding of truth

For magicians (and in this they are not original), the only criterion of truth is practice. What shows its effectiveness for a given magician at a given stage of his Path is true for him. However, the very next moment this idea can become an obstacle to development, which means it can lose its truth

So, for a magician it is more effective to say not simply: “this is the truth,” but: “for me at this stage this is the truth,” emphasizing the double dependence of this concept - on the individual and on the stage of the Path. This approach allows the magician to be fluid, not constrained by dogma, which means he can always find the most effective strategy for his struggle
