The Kiss

A kiss can hold love from a mother
Without words lips still have a say
Strangers smile at one another
Most friendships begin that way

Through lips pass food and air
And words we speak and pray
The busiest muscles we share
We use them every day

Man parts may get you envied
And curves get a girl her way
Lust gets crowds wild and frenzied
But life’s more than a roll in the hay

Safe sex is now a reflex
Natural pre-coital delay
Your privates are guarded by latex
But your mouth uncovered will play

A kiss is more than passion
The joining of souls lips purvey
Make love, but kisses we ration
Through a kiss might others betray
