His teacher thinks he should write poems
but he missed the last bus
and don’t know what to say
And he spoke to her for the first time in a year
but she didn’t ask him any questions
so he peeled off his orange skin
And the posters kept falling down
so he kept putting them back up
but they ripped a little more each time
And he started going to sleep without them
but didn’t wake up the same
and now he can't catch the bus by himself

so they’re locking all the doors to his childhood home
And he once wrote about a boy and a girl
but I don’t think anyone will ever hear it
cos they don’t speak to each other any more
and the girl is mute
