A solitary woman,
One to be observed,
Most who view her lonely life,
Thinking it absurd.
But, it is her heart that is kept intact,
No longer subject to the regretful fact,
That loving hurts and brings pain,
Mistakes repeated over again. So she withdrew, built concrete walls,
Now she wanders lonely halls.
No more to feel remorse or grief,
Closing doors, she sees relief. Tears won't escape the dammed up eyes,
Ears won't hear a lover's lies.
Lips never opened up to meet,
A kiss of passion and it's heat.
Hands don't hold or feel or glide,
As lover's do lying side by side. No giving or taking,
No feeling expressed.
All emotions, now put to rest.
