The ominous sky was a stage that day.
The wind controlled the curtain of clouds
That hid the stage from view.
We could not see the strange ballet
Till the curtain was opened wide.
Then we beheld the lightning's dance
As it leaped and whirled on pointed toes
In time with the thunder's chant.
It flashed and rent the sky apart
As it leaped from place to place
While dancing precisely and ever so nicely
On pointed toes.
