We seek tranquility in a valley of dreams,
We do search for a quiet valley it seems.
We search when clatter comes hard to bear,
Seeking quiet like the drop of one tear.
Deeply within we seek tranquility to-day,
And for a measure of quiet to come our way.
Difficult to find among the chatter abound,
Silence is beautiful if quiet can be found.
In our world silence seems to be scarce,
We may seek a place quiet as one mouse.
Highways and by-ways are so seldom quiet,
The roar of motors comes day and night.
We may hope an yearn for measures of quiet,
But sounds may blast out forever then more.
Our Doctor says blodd pressure way too high,
Caused by too much noise we say with a sigh.
