Brown girl in the rain

Brown girl in the rain, barefoot and free,
dancing through puddles, not caring to flee.
Laughter like thunder, soft on the skin,
each drop a blessing, each smile a sin.

Her dress clings close, soaked and alive,
the storm can't tame her, only revive.
With eyes like earth and lips like flame,
she sings to the clouds-they whisper her name.

Brown girl in the rain, wild as the breeze,
bending with rhythm, moving with ease.
The world stands still while she sways and spins,
a goddess of storms, with love in her grin.

I stood and watched, caught in her trance,
lost in the magic of her rain-soaked dance.
And though the sky may dry again,
I'll dream forever of that brown girl in the rain.
