Mother, mother what shall I do?
You taught me things old and new
I have a family of my own to raise
Learning about kids, I'm truly amazed
Your words of wisdom always ring true
Sometimes they come to me out of the blue
Hard work and religion have played a big part
Love and compassion are there in my heart
Your guiding hand helped me as a child
You were always giving and ever so mild
Demanding a lot, but you gave in return
Your love of your family was always affirmed
You lived to be One Hundred and one
Raised a large family, five girls and 3 sons
You've taught us well, our families love us
We learned it at home and to teach its a must
