No matter where they lay me
my heart will always be,
Not in any cold, dark grave
but evermore with thee.
The twinkle in a grandchild's eye,
the freckle on a nose.
The way the children laugh or sigh,
the odd bend in baby's toes.
My dna and rna are moving
swiftly round inside.
If you speak my name in kindness
then in your hearts I do abide.
So look hard at your children
and you'll most likely see.
God's ingenious miracle
so you'll remember me.
Mind, not from photos or from relics
nor fortune or from fame.
But the blood that runs right
them gives me life again.
