We were never cute enough

This is not me being hurt
Nor me being burnt
From the inside
But showing gratitude
From the outside

I saw your lovely photo
It made sense why you chose him
Am on my own understanding being loco
It doesn’t matter if I bring out steam
Because we were never cute enough

We sit beside each other but no longer the spark
Love that got to be stuck
In mid air and never got to the peak
That’s all I have to say or speak
Yet it’s natures call
To return to the land and seek
That of which I never speak.
