When I whisper in the wind your name
Do you hear me?
When I tell the stars how much I feel for you
Does it reach you?
I don’t know what else can I do
Aside from writing proses and poems about you
When I open my journal
And hold onto my pen
It’s like muscle memory
The ink spells out your name
Maybe the air you breathe carries my longing for you
Maybe the stars you see shine the light of my love for you
And hidden in the pages of this journal in my hand
Is the concrete proof that I once loved
So I’ll just settle with this for now
Loving you from afar
Hoping one day I gain the courage
To tell you what I’ve always wanted to
