It doesn't matter how much
I try to ignore you
I can't stop pondering about you
I read many booksjust to stop
The feeling alone when you are
Surrounded by women far more
Beautiful than me
I bet they never put pen to paper
Writing sonnets at midnight
When they can't sleep
I am alone in a bar
With an order of chicken wings
And a pitcher of diet Coke
Wallowing in them to forget about you
And yr tight jeans
I go home and read
Another book of poems
Wishing beyond anything
To write you one
