Early morning, cool breeze,
birds singing from old Oak trees.
Two lonely hearts out for a run,
two lonely hearts out in the sun.
Heading out along the lonely beach,
never thinking love was in reach.
Strangers stopping to pass the day;
trying to think of things to say.
A voice so sweet; my heart skipped a beat,
promises made for next day to meet.
5`o`clock; Church bells chime,
leaving home early to be on time.
All summer long our love grew,
each day bringing adventure new.
Along the golden sand; hand-in-hand.
My love i declared beneath a full moon,
not knowing love was to end so very soon.
Tide coming in washing over our feet,
love was blind; we were into deep,
my lovers hand i could not keep,
the cruel sea; my love did keep.
Empty heart, empty beach.
My love so far out of reach.
