Feeling alone
In my head all the time
Not okay
Even though I try

Feeling like I want to die
I am not alright
Nighttime creeps in
Even as I try to keep on the lights

So yes

“I'm doing quite alright”
Can you tell that I lie?

It may not always be a lie
But there are times when the light doesn’t shine as bright
So the best that I can come up with is
“I'm fine”

There are times when I’m okay.
But those times like to fade away.

Everything feels like a dream.
Ever since you left me here
The only thing that keeps me grounded
Is the pain and the tears

The mask fits just right
Can someone please come and be my light?
