Leaves

Everywhere I look I see red, yellow, and brown,
Dead leaves laying all over the ground.
It seems I'm up to past my knees with leaves,
I guess I'll have to roll up my sleeves.
They seem to go till out of sight,
I better get them raked while there is still light.
Every year is the same watch them come in the spring,
Then they leave in the fall it's one continuous ring.
It reminds me of life many colors of people God sends,
And then he recalls them together in the end.
Life goes on every year and no one sees the light,
Even though it is so beautiful and very bright.
It's like the leaves of a tree coming out in the spring,
One doesn't really see them come or go, or anything.
