He’ll show you how to stand…
With your feet firmly on the ground…
He’ll teach you to have courage…
When there’s trouble all around…

He knows about things…
That only a grandpa would know…
He comes from a world of experience…
As his deep wrinkles often show…

So whenever you have a chance…
To hold onto grandpa’s hand…
Hold onto it tightly…
Listen closely to the man…
