Each morning as I arise,
"Despair", please don't dim my eyes,
To remaining treasures in my life.
Do not let me fail to see,
Loved ones joys, trials, or needs.
May I remember happy times,
Where laughter rang,
And voices chimed.
Where love abounded,
And joy ran free,
Within this family,
That God gave me.
Though our circle is broken,
Let us hold each other close,
Never forgetting how precious each spoke.
Perhaps our loved ones gone before,
Can somehow look from Heaven's door,
And share our love once more.
